There are millions of colors, but you that you don’t have to work so hard to set a good look and feel for QlikSense on NewHub.
Take a look at our 4 tips to create a color-friendly dashboard following your company’s visual identity!
1. Less is more
Choose up to 3 main colors. Fewer colors help users focus on the content. You can use them alongside different shades of gray.

Don’t use colors that aren’t helping to complement your brand.
2. Color is function
Use colors to indicate action. Dropdowns, links, and buttons need to have cohesion and therefore similar colors.

Don’t use radically different colors for similar functionalities.
3. Guide with color
Highlight selected items. In the menu, you can either guide your user with a gray shade or colored background and white text.

Don’t draw too much attention to the active items, it will visually overwhelm the user.
4. White is your friend
Keep white areas. You can choose white or a light shade from the original color pallet to display cards and charts backgrounds. This improves content readability.

Don’t let color get in the way of readability: a bright color may confuse your communication goals.
