Updates

  • Cluster App’s white theme was with the wrong active color for the menu item
  • Error messages weren’t displayed correctly

Fixes

  • White theme is marked as default during the installation, but NewHub was using the dark / green theme;
  • The height of the main table was incorrect in some screen sizes;
  • There was a problem during the creation of a custom link

As always, we listen to suggestions from our customers and partners to prioritize NewHub improvements. The second release of the year brings important news and improvements, such as:

New

  • Favorites: End users can now organize their apps, sheets, mashups and any other link in the “My Favorites” section of the main menu

  • Home cards with “Drag & Drop” and resizing functionalities: end users can now better customize their homepage, rearranging and tweaking the width, height and position of the cards

  • Single session: the same user can now apply different filters simultaneously on different browser tabs without losing their unique session

  • Ready-made translations and localization for 3 languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish

  • Exporting objects in PDF and Excel in “Cluster App” mode

  • Filters categorized within the “Cluster App” mode

  • “Dark” theme for “Cluster App” mode

  • Users can now navigate smoothly on smartphones without the interaction of Qlik Sense graphics disrupting navigation (scroll)

  • “Custom links” can now be opened in new browser tabs

Some major upgrades in store with NewHub 3.0. You talked, we listened! With this version you will see native QS apps under a new pespective (without having to build Mashups!), and display any QS chart on the homepage without having to open the apps themselves

  • Features an automatic redesign of native QS apps via the new “Cluster App” skin. This feature changes the whole interface of native apps without having to build a mashup

  • Displays any Qlik Sense chart or extension directly on the home page, without users having to open each panel individually

  • NewHub has been made ready to deploy on QAP servers

NewHub Update

Version 2.3, first offered on February 3, 2020

The Newhub software suite now offers an intuitive configuration tab in the Admin panel to manage layout customizations. It also offers the ability to load custom Mashups on the homepage, instead of the default NewHub landing page.

New

  • Migrated the config file (in javascript) from the Dev-Hub to the Admin Panel (no programming knowledge required any longer for custom configurations)
  • Option to load a custom Mashup on the homepage that replaces the default landing page, with the ability for it to show only for selected streams (this was previously achieved via roles only).
  • Ability to activates or deactivate the app search bar, or show it only when the user is on the homepage
  • Removed the support custom page, moving this to the feature that allows inclusion of custom links
  • Ability to remove users from the NewHub Admin panel

  • Navigation bar and Activity bar behaviour can be customized via checkbox 
  • External links are no longer editable via Dev-Hub, but via de Admin Panel, with added ability to show them to certain streams
  • Changed layout positions for the “change alias” and “uninstall” buttons

The software suite gains a new stand-alone administration panel that streamlines the installation and configuration process for NewHub. No more QMC after initial installation.
