1. Do I need to install extra software?
Not at all. NewHub works as a “plug and play” mashup.
You install the extension in your existing Qlik Sense environment and define which apps and mashups should appear on the Dashboard. That’s it!
2. How do I install and configure NewHub?
The download consists of an automatic installer that will help you set up and configure NewHub in a quick 5 minutes. This installer works as a Qlik extension that you unzip in your QMC, and then follow the instructions on your browser.
3. Does NewHub get periodic updates?
Yes. We schedule new releases in tandem with Qlik Sense’s quarterly releases, typically the month after Qlik Sense’s own release. This ensures full compatibility with the latest versions of Qlik Sense.
4. Is NewHub free to trial?
You may activate up to 5 users that can work simultanously free of charge, with full product functionality without any time limits. If you need more than 5 users, a pay per user per month model applies.
5. What can I expect to do with NewHub?
- App grouping into categories and subcategories;
- Centralized access to native apps and Mashups (one stop shop);
- Ability to open an App directly on a specific Sheet );
- Add app KPIs on the Homepage;
- Possibility to include external links, HTML pages or iFrames in the menu;
- Separate CSS file available for customization;
6. Which Qlik Sense license do I need in order to run NewHub?
You can run it with the “Enterprise” and “QAP” licenses. However there is no support for extensions nor mashups on Qlik Sense Business.
7. How will users access NewHub?
NewHub will have a unique URL, from which users will be able to login using their standard Qlik Sense login credentials.
8. Can I display content from different Qlik Sense applications in NewHub?
Yes. NewHub can be configured to pull data from different Native Apps or Mashups, centralizing information display in one single location.
